By the time he was 9 years old, the seeds of success were already sown within the heart of a highly imaginative, fashion-savvy, young man from montreal. Tony Jordan’s uncanny eye for beauty and knack for making magic out of lazy sunday afternoons would lead to his hosting outlandish fashion shows in his family’s living room—all for his discerning pint-sized audiences. While still in high school, the straight-a student honed his skills as a stylist and show producer by organizing fashion shows for various charity organizations and schools. In fact, a landmark fashion event which he created for his high school, over two decades ago, continues to thrive as a new generation of talented youths find themselves seduced by the prospect of a career in fashion. And at 25, Tony was one of the youngest members of the faculty at montreal’s prestigious school of fashion, lasalle college—where he taught fashion merchandising, in both the design and marketing programs.
He was also one of the privileged few selected to sit on the board of montreal fashion week (la semaine de la mode) during its inception. And he is instrumental in launching key projects such as the global trend seminar and designer debut. With a keen insight into the life of the contemporary consumer and the uncanny ability for forecasting future trends,Tony Jordan is considered the quintessential fashion barometer by tastemakers and members of the industry.
